1. Interesting idea. Must be perfect for a writing team. I guess it must feel strange to not have a real file…

I remember when my mother got a PC to her job and the wordprocessor assumed that you were used to a typewriter. That time is long gone now.

  2. Yes, although CELTX – the free writng software has some excellent collaborative tools too. Well worth a look if you haven’t checked it out already.

I also started writing on a typewriter originally, as I’d seen people doing it on TV and couldn’t afford a proper word processor back then. lol I did hate having to retype it all when I made too many mistakes.

Yes, sadly with the growing proliferation of online applications and the speed of the internet today, those days do seem to be long gone.

  3. When I started to write moviescripts I borrowed a book at the library about the subject. The authour of the book inhanced the advantages of doing a backup of the script from time to time, even if it was tiresome. A backup was typing a second copy…

You cannot possibly mean that you miss the typewriters?

  4.
No, I don’t miss having to redo reams of work etc, but I do miss writing without distractions. It’s so much easier to lose your train of thought when you have so many virtual places to visit and things to do on a computer
.

There was something pure about a typewriter and nothing else to distract you.
